Yuyu is a slender, stylized handwritten typeface designed by Julia García López. Originally created as a personal tool for the designer's own visual identity, Yuyu is the product of years of manual refinement and care.
Its tall, uppercase letterforms carry a pronounced verticality that feels both fun and familiar, while resolving into a mature and cheerful finish. This balance makes Yuyu a natural fit for personal branding, editorial design, modern titling, and any project looking to build a friendly, human connection.
The family consists of two variations that share the same capital letters: Yuyu Mid and Yuyu Short. Yuyu Mid was developed with a clear focus on legibility and accessibility, making it the more practical choice for extended use. Yuyu Short, by contrast, is intended purely for aesthetic and display purposes.
"This font is, in many ways, like a child to me. It has featured in every sketch and project for years. Seeing it today transformed into a complete typographic tool is the start of a new chapter. This is my voice, now available for yours." — Julia García López
